Do you own a Fedora? I think everyone should at least have one in their closet, it makes an amazing fashion statement and can also be a conversation starter. I’ve tried on and purchased a number of fedoras the past few years. And while I’m no hat expert, I’ve learned a bit about them.
In general, a fedora is described as a soft felt hat with a lengthwise crease in the crown, two slight front (or side) pinch creases, a medium/wide brim, and a decorative band at the base of the crown where it meets the brim.
Even though men back in the day wore their fedoras year round, it doesn't make much sense to wear one in the summer months these days. Opt for a Panama hat in the summer and wear your fedora during the cooler days of spring, summer, and fall.
